Currow provide the opposition for the 2pm throw-in with the second round pencilled in August 20th. LADIES UPDATE
The first of the County League semi finals for our two under 14 teams took place this evening . The Division 3 team made the short trip out the road to take on Fossa on a lovely evening for a game of football.  A close game ensued with the result in the balance right up to the final whistle. The home side got into their groove earlier and were on top in the opening 10 minutes. The two teams exchanged scores throughout the opening period in a very open and free flowing contest and just one point separated the sides at the break. The second half mirrored the first and the two evenly matched teams continued to trade scores throughout. Both sides were strong defensively and each score was hard earned. With 5 minutes remaining the sides were deadlocked but we dug deep to fashion two late scores to edge ahead at the final whistle. Well played to all the girls and thanks to Fossa for a sporting game and to the referee who officiated on the night. The team advances to a final against Kilcummin which will be played in the coming weeks .Final score...Fossa 3-05, Killarney Legion 3-07.
Well done to our U16 Ladies who qualified for the County League Final, Division 3, after winning their semi final with a convincing performance against Beaufort in Direen last Wednesday. Playing with a strong wind in the first half it took them a while to settle with Beaufort taking control of the game  early on and kicking early points. As the half wore on though, our Girls found their form and scored a crucial well taken goal just before halt time to lead at the break by 1-07 to 0-03. Having been urged  for a big effort in the second half they did not disappoint and despite playing against the wind they put in a sterling defensive performance before eventually running out winners on a scoreline of 3-16 to 0-04. Thanks to Beaufort for a sporting game and to referee Sean Courtney. The final has been fixed for Wednesday Aug 16th with the  venue and opposition to be confirmed.

KERRY MINOR LADIES
Congratulations to Andrea Murphy who was part of the Kerry minor panel that brought home the All Ireland B title to the Kingdom. Always in control of the fixture they ran out 2-6 to 1-6 winners.

LADIES ALL IRELAND FINAL
The very best of luck to the Kerry Ladies who will be looking to end the 30 year famine when they face Dublin in Croke Park this Sunday at 4pm. Having had the experience of playing in last year's decider , hopefully they will use it to their advantage against the Metropolitans. If their clash earlier in the campaign is anything to go by we are in for a cracker of a game.

MARK MORIARTY
Congratulations and the very best of luck to Mark Moriarty who has a big day himself this Sunday. He will be ordained by Bishop Ray Browne in St Marys Cathedral and will celebrate his first Mass on the following evening, Monday the 14th. Son of Brian and Majorie, Mark is part of a staunch Legion household. Well done Mark.
