KERRY U20 ALL IRELAND SEMI FINAL
With the week starting on a high with Will Shine being named as the Munster U20 Player of the Championship, things took a turn for the worst in Pearse Stadium on Saturday. Sligo came out on top in this eagerly awaited All Ireland semi final but fair to say Kerry will have been disappointed by the hours event. To be fair to Will, he top scored for the Kingdom with four points but the overall effort never really got going. To give Sligo their due they are thriving recently at underage level and will be a formidable opponent for Kildare in the final.

JUVENILE BOYS UPDATE
The U11 Boys battled bravely against the elements and Laune Rangers on what was a miserable Thursday evening on the banks of the Laune. But the boys played very well and did themselves proud. They would have been boosted earlier in the week by a visit from 2014 All Ireland winning goalkeeper Brian Kelly who gave them a lovely pep talk about the friendships and spirit a club can create.
The U15 boys had a busy week. On Wednesday night they put in their best display of the year so far when accounting for Na Gaeil in Tralee in the latest round of the County League. The win sees them qualify for the Division 1 Shield semi final in what has been a great learning experience for them so far. The prestigious Feile qualifying competition was held in Direen Friday night where Dr Crokes and Fossa were the visitors. There was only a hair's breadth in any of the games, with Legion and Fossa drawing, Crokes narrowly defeating Legion but then falling to the same fate themselves to Fossa. It was Fossa who emerged from a very enjoyable evening of top quality entertainment.
The U17 Boys had a ding dong battle with Rathmore in the opening round of the East Kerry League. In the final analysis the concession of four goals in the opening half left the team with a steep mountain to climb but to their eternal credit they did their utmost and the final score of 4-12 to 2-16 in Rathmores favour showed that they are not far away.
LADIES UPDATE
Both U12 teams were busy in action on Tuesday night in Direen. The White team welcomed Beaufort for their first official competitive game and put in a fine performance to run good winners in the end. The Green Team met a very strong Rathmore outfit and while not successful on the night there's no doubt that a few lessons will have been gleaned from the game.
A week full of content for both our U14 teams as they were successful in both their fixtures. On Tuesday evening last the Division 5 team travelled to Tuosist and came away with the spoils winning by 4-7 to 1-2. Kerins O Rahillys called to Direen last Saturday afternoon and in a free flowing contest the home side led from start to finish, culminating in a 6-9 to 3-4 win.
GOLF CLASSIC
When Sean Daly constructed his team for the Killarney Legion GAA Golf Classic he certainly put all the right tools in the bag as teammates Dan Doona and Johnny Brosnan made sure the trio dovetailed to perfection to carry the spoils. Their 95 point haul on a mild day in the famed O Mahony Point course made them clear winners over the Ted Healy inspired team consisting of Kieran Cremin and David Marmian. They were chased home all the way by Con Healy, James McCarthy and the irrepressible Patie Sugrue, representing the Legion legends of Johnny Culloty and Pat Healy. Declan Kelly's driver was in full working order as he creamed the longest drive down the 11th and in the process finished fourth alongside Adrian Brennan and Brian Hayles. Golfer supreme Seamie O Connor won nearest the pin with his excellent pitch to one of the world's trickiest Par 3s , the 18th.
