SENIOR B MEN
Our Senior B Team had a great win in the McElligott Cup Shield Final on Saturday afternoon in Fossa. A very young team mixed with a few more experienced players defended well and scored two excellent goals in the first half to lead by 2-4 to 0-5 at half time. A more clinical display up front in the second half saw the team work some great scores to run out deserving winners.
Captain Dan Carroll accepted the Shield on behalf of the team. Well done to the team and management, and thanks to Kilcummin for a great game as always. Final score Killarney Legion 3-12 Kilcummin 0-14.

2005 INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONS
20 Years on from lifting the Kerry Intermediate Championship, the team of 2005 had a reunion in Murphys Bar last Friday night.  The final , played in Austin Stack Park, saw them defeat a Paul.Galvin inspired Finuge. The team met up for a night out to celebrate that great win. It was brilliant to catch up with old friends, share memories, and enjoy a few pints together. It was a great night and a great get-together.

U15 LADIES
On a blustery Wednesdays evening at John Mitchels GAA, the U15 ladies took to the pitch for the Division 2 Final against a strong Churchill side. Facing into a stiff breeze and playing on a heavy surface in the first half, Legion set up defensively and showed great composure to keep Churchill scoreless for the opening 9 minutes. Churchill soon found their rhythm with some well-timed runs and took full advantage, clocking up scores quickly. However, the girls didn’t back down, and in true battling spirit, responded with two superb goals  and lifted the team. Despite Churchill’s pressure, Legion stayed in the contest with grit and determination. At halftime, the scoreboard 2-0 to 3-5 in Churchills favour. The second half saw a renewed energy and with the wind dying down, the girls emerged bravely – even with some fresh knocks to the back line – and showed incredible heart. They chipped away at Churchill’s lead with well-earned scores , cutting the deficit to just four points at one stage. Unfortunately, an injury to one of our key midfielders disrupted momentum. Still, they  continued to fight until the final whistle. In the end, it wasn’t quite enough, as Churchill held on for a hard-fought win, with the match finishing 4-3 to 4-8. Despite the result, every Legion player should hold their head high. The girls gave it everything in the final and throughout a busy and successful season. Their effort, teamwork, and resilience were second to none. A big thank you to referee Jason O’Brien for officiating, to all our loyal supporters who turned out in numbers, and to Churchill for a sporting and competitive final. Finally, a huge thanks to Four Star Pizza for their generous support on the night – it was very much appreciated. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to our girls who sustained injuries on the night.
