MINOR COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP
There was no joy for our minors last Thursday night in the Keanes SuperValu Minor County Championship semi final played in Austin Stack Park in Tralee. Captain Brían ÓShea won the toss and elected to play with the strong wind but a slow start saw St Kierans take an early 1-1 advantage . Settling down the lads took a grip on the game and on balance should have gone into the break ahead but the opposition keeper pulled off a great stop to deny Jack Culloty a certain goal.  Some wides too that would have been big scores given the wind advantage would be another factor. In the second period St Kierans pulled away building up a six point lead but credit to the lads narrowed the gap to a score again following a great goal from Brían O Shea.
Despite dogged performances at the back from the likes of Bryan OConnor and Ronan OBrien as the game entered the closing stages the subs from the Castleisland District started to gain the upperhand  and scored eights points in the closing stages to run out winners . But the scoreline was not a true reflection of the contest,  a lot closer than the score suggests.
Thanks to St Kierans and the officials for a sporting game. Thanks also  to our supporters from across the club. All in all a great summer for the lads with the Division 1 Shield win and competing magnificently in the County Championship. Next up will be an East Kerry Championship to finish the year off.

SENIOR LADIES RECAP
Our Senior Ladies season came to a close last week when they exited the Junior A championship away to ISG in Kenmare when we came up just short on a scoreline of 3-10 to 1-12 to eventually lose out on qualification by scoring difference. This year saw our ladies step up divisions in all competitions due to last years successful campaigns. The Donal Curtin Division 2 leaguw was a daunting prospect but theu  stepped up well to win 5 of the 7 group games and narrowly lost out to the eventual winner Castleisland Desmond’s in the semi final by three points. Next up was the Senior Club League where wins over Castlegregory/Annascaul and ISG qualified the team  for the second consecutive final in the competition. Kerins O Rahillys were the opposition where a magnificent second half display helped to win the title for the second year in a row on a scoreline of  3-18 to 1-11. The Junior A championship saw a win against  Fossa in the opening round before a heavy loss away to Cromane. Unfortunately they  came up just short on Sunday away to ISG to exit the competition.  All in all, a disappointing end to the season but a season that brought further progress and saw them compete well in all competitions while securing further silverware in the senior club league.  Ladies chairperson Ted Healy would like to thank the panel of players and his fellow management of John McCarthy and Orla Culloty for their commitment and dedication again this season. They have won 5 competitions in the past 15 months, a record they, and indeed the club, can be proud of.
We look forward to supporting our ladies again next year.

U15 LADIES
The Legion U15s ladies made a strong return to action, opening their U15 club championship campaign with a dominant win away over Cromane. From the throw-in, Legion set the tone with intensity and determination across every line of the pitch. The backs were fearless, holding Cromane scoreless for the first quarter, while the midfield controlled the game with relentless work and sharp distribution, which laid the foundation for a number of attacking plays. The link-up play was sharp, ensuring the forwards were well supported and constantly on the front foot. Despite some wides, the forwards made a big impact on the scoreboard. Throughout the game, our subs added energy and kept the momentum going, rounding off a strong team performance and a great start to the championship. Thank you to the ref on the night and to Cromane for a very sporting contest. Final score..Killarney Legion 3-22 Cromane 2-4.

U12 BOYS
The last East Kerry League Go Game for our U12 boys took place on Wednesday evening under lights in Direen. Rathmore were the visitors for the return fixture from a few weeks ago. Two superb games of football ensued with great score taking and excellent skills on display.. Both games were played under lights and was a fitting end to both clubs' participation in the Go Games series . Thanks to Rathmore for visiting and playing excellent football in a real sporting and competitive manner which resulted in 2 excellent games. Thanks to our referees John Keane and James Murphy who again this evening were superb as they have been all year . Football and sportsmanship were the winners on the night and a fitting end to the Go Games series .

BARBECUE / FAMILY DAY
Hats off to Brita Hegarty and her Social Committee , they put in a great shift to ensure our Family Fun Day was a rip roaring success. They even arranged a dry afternoon, not the easiest ask in the current climatic conditions.
