U16 BOYS
Our U16 Boys Team faced our local rivals Dr Crokes in Lewis Road in our third game of the Division 1 of the County League on Thursday. On a warm evening a good goal by Dara Horan mid way through the first half opened a gap between the teams and we led by 6 points at half time 1-9 to 0-6.
The teams traded points throughout the second half and at full time we emerged with a good win to keep us in the hunt for a place in the Div 1 semi finals. Thanks to Dr Crokes for a fine game and to Brendan Brosnan for excellent officiating.
Our final two group games are against John Mitchels and Listry. Final Score Killarney Legion 1-15 Dr Crokes 1-12

MINOR BOYS
Legion took a trip to Killorglin to face the team that comprehensively beat them in the Club Championship earlier in the year. Although missing a few regulars this week the team were buoyed by their second half performance against Austin Stacks last week. Starting well they raised the first white flags in a tight first half and on another night their penetration in the Laune Rangers final third would have led to at least 3 goals, which their keeper kept out in one on one  situations. The hosts on the otherhand were content to work points against a dogged defence and led at the interval by 0-8 to 0-4.
A good start to the second half yielded the first points but a Laune Rangers goal restored their advantage but Legion fought back  When Brian O Shea netted we were back in the match and underlining this was a second Legion goal which drew the sides level with 5 minutes to go.
Laune Rangers then got a goal somewhat against the run of play and although pressing strongly we couldn't force the turnover to bring about a final goal chance and Rangers pointed well at the death. All in all, there was a massive improvement on our last outing against Laune Rangers but it was a game we could have easily won. The final group game is against South Kerry amalgamation Na Fianna next week.Final score Laune Rangers 2-13 Killarney Legion 2-9.

ALL IRELAND FINALS
A successful weekend for two of our members. Darragh Lyne is part of the Kerry squad which has qualified for its third All Ireland final in four years following their semi final success over Tyrone. While Aine Devlin is a member of the Kerry Camogie team that has made it all the way to the All Ireland Intermediate Final.  We obviously wish both well in their respective showpiece events.

SENIOR LADIES
Our Senior Ladies had a comfortable win over Castlegregory/Annascaul in the opening round of the Corrib Oil league. The game was notable for the return of Elizabeth Mohan to the side after a couple of years' absence. Kerins O Rahillys lie in wait in the next round.

DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP
There was great drama in Tralee on Tuesday evening as the East Kerry U14s, helped by our own Rian Brosnan, Robert Murphy, Cian Whitty, Patrick MacSweeney, Kieran Moloney & Cillian Healy defeated Tralee district in the County District A final on a scoreline of 2-11 to 2-8.

LGFA DEVELOPMENT SQUADS
Well done to Laura Healy, who starred for the Kerry Ladies u17 Development team during the week in the National Development Blitz held in Portlaoise. They won their 4 games against Kildare, Monaghan and Meath(twice).
