COUNTY LEAGUE FIXTURES
There is a local derby in the County league this weekend with a short trip to Lewis Road this Friday June 6th where there is a 7pm throw in time. The Senior B team played Kenmare Shamrocks this Saturday at 7pm in Direen.

U14 LADIES
The U14 Ladies Green team were in action on Friday evening at home to Corca Dhuibhne for their last Division 2 County League fixture.
With a full panel of energetic and determined players, the home side started strongly, showing great pace and excellent distribution. Both teams were evenly matched in the early stages, but the Legion girls held a narrow lead going into half-time. In the second half, the hosts pushed on, finding the back of the net four more times and adding some fine points to their tally. Corca Dhuibhne continued to battle and tested the home defence, but some outstanding defending from the Legion back line kept them at bay.
Credit to the Legion girls for a well-deserved win on the night. A big thank you to Corca Dhuibhne for a sporting contest and to the referee for excellent officiating. The team now looks forward to details of their upcoming semi-final.

BAKE SALE / BLITZ
This Saturday June 7th  is going to be an action-packed day as we are running an U10 Girls blitz in conjunction with a bake sale. This is a fundraiser for our U15 Ladies Feile team. The action gets underway at 1pm amd everyone is asked to please support the day!!

U16 LADIES
A huge well done to our U16 girls who were crowned Div 2 East Kerry champions on Wednesday evening in Direen . Facing Beaufort—who had beaten us comprehensively just six weeks ago—our girls were determined to turn things around, and they certainly rose to the occasion. From the first whistle, they set the tone with a fast start, taking an early lead that they held onto right to the final whistle.
Our defence was outstanding—tenacious and fiercely committed. The girls worked the ball cleverly through the middle, creating chances and setting up our forwards to find the net at crucial moments. Captain Molly Cronin proudly accepted the trophy on behalf of a fantastic group of young girls who have shown great character & teamwork throughout the season.
The team now takes a well-earned break for a few weeks to focus on their studies, before returning to action at the end of June for the County League.  Thanks to Beaufort for a great sporting contest, Jason O’Brien for officiating so well on the night and finally to Seanie Culloty in Four Star Pizza for looking after the girls so well.

U14 BOYS
Our Under 14 boys travelled all the way to Tarbert to play the divisional side Northern Gaels in division 16 of the County League . The team made up with mostly Under 12 players were very well supplemented with some of the older under 14s . Having played with the wind in the first half, Legion boys were to the fore, scoring some good points and taking their chances. The second half began with lots of action from both sides and with the aid of a strong breeze Northern Gaels won at the end by the narrowest of margins
Final score Northern Gaels 4-7 Killarney Legion 3-9.

U17 BOYS
We hosted Milltown Castlemaine and Kenmare Shamrocks in the first stage of the U17 Super 10s which will take place over the next 3 weeks . They started with a tough game against Milltown Castlemaine in which they came out on top and were straight back on action against a young Kenmare side where they again prevailed after a slow start. In both games  lads played some lovely football.
The next round of games is Thursday week.
Thanks to Evan Horan for reffing what were very sporting games .
