U10 BOYS
The  U10 boys welcomed Laune Rangers to a sunny Direen last Wednesday evening. Twenty eight Legion lads put on a great display of skill and teamwork. Big thank you to the older Juveniles James Murphy and Mark Looney for helping out with the officiating.

U12 BOYS
A big thanks to Eamon Maguire of Greentech Sportsturf and Liam O Toole of DOSA Consulting Engineers for sponsoring two brand new sets of jerseys for our U12 teams. That is a great gesture by both Liam and Eamonn and no doubt the boys will be looking forward to wearing their new gear.

U14 BOYS
The A team travelled back to Keel on Tuesday  evening for another round of the County League  on what was a day borrowed from July. At halftime, Keel led by four points  3–7  to  2–6 .  It wasn’t the brightest of starts from the boys, who took a little time to find their rhythm and were nine points down at one stage but once they settled into the game, they found their rhythm.
It was a much improved second half showing amd the game eventually finished a draw,  4–14 to  5–11.  With no subs and only the bare 15 players, they outworked and outscored their opponents in the second half, hitting 2–8 and refusing to back down. This was more than just a draw—it was a performance full of heart, a fantastic display. With a full panel going forward and two more games next week we can look forward to more exciting football.
The B team travelled to Killorglin to take on a Laune Rangers team the same evening. With our older team also in action Laune Rangers had strong numeric advantage but this did not deter our boys who started brightly kicking some excellent points and playing some lovely football .But two goals in quick succession from the hosts gave them the advantage at half time . The second half Laune Rangers began to capitalise form their size advantage and added some good scores . Our lads did not give up and stuck to their guns and continued with some excellent score taking and good interplay..
The final score was Laune Rangers 4-8 killarney legion 0-13.
Our lads were excellent throughout and never gave up . The majority of these lads have another few years at this age grade and the experience gained from playing competitive games will stand to them in the future

U16 BOYSU16 East Kerry League Div 2 Semi Final
Killarney Legion B 5-16
Gneeveguilla A 2-9
Our U16B team qualified for a Division 2 final by defeating Gneeveguilla in the semi-final in Direen on Thursday evening. Playing with the wind in the first half, the boys worked some great team scores and led at the interval by 2-9 to 0-6.
Gneeveguilla started the second half strongly and reduced the gap. A few timely goals saw us reestablish the lead and run out good winners in the end. Well done to all 19 boys who all contributed well to the win. Thanks to Gneeveguilla for a good game and to Brendan Brosnan for excellent officiating.
Our U16A team qualified for the Division 1 East Kerry League Final after a chaotic 13 a side game in Direen on Sunday morning. The boys played some excellent football throughout the first half but left numerous gilt edged goal chances behind them. Cordal were more efficient with their chances, and at half time, we led 3-12 to 4-4. With the aid of the wind, Cordal dominated the opening 15 minutes of the second half and scored 2-3 without reply to lead by four. The introduction of a few subs in the last 15 mins gradually wrestled back control of the game, and the boys eventually prevailed by 4 points. Thanks to Cordal for a fine game and to Evan Horan for excellent officiating. The boys will meet either Kilcummin or Firies in the final at a date yet to be decided. Final score Killarney Legion 7-17 Cordal 7-13.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS GAME
Sunday was a big day  in Fitzgerald Stadium for Mia Cox, Regan O Shea, and Fionn Culloty, as they all played in the Primary Schools game which took place at half time in the Munster Football Final  between Kerry amd Clare. A nice moment for young Fionn  to line out on a pitch where his grandfather Johnny often graced.

ST BRENDANS COLLEGE
Congratulations to Club members Callum Cox and Kieran Moloney on winning the Junior A All Ireland Schools Bssketball Final with St Brendan's College in the National Basketball Arena on Thursday afternoon.
