SENIOR LADIES
The stage is set for the biggest game of the Legion ladies season as they face off Kilcummin in the Bons Secours Junior B Championship. Having already captured the Donal Curtin Cup and Corrib Oil Club Championship the mood in the camp is determined as they lock horns again with their neighbours. It's a repeat of the group game in September when the girls came out on top on a 1-12 to 2-6 scoreline. That followed up an earlier win over John Mitchels which clinched their place in the quarter final. The quarter final win was hard forged against a combative Kerins O Rahillys side while a trip down west to Castlegregory yielded a final spot. We wish management and team the very best in the game which has been confirmed for the John Mitchels GAA Complex for 2pm on Sunday
Panel..Amy Walshe, Shania Costello, Kiah Doona, Aisling Cahill, Ciara Doolan , Meabh Healy, Abbie Cronin, Ellen Coffey, Chloe Hue, Keri Ann Hanrahan, Zena Shine, Eve Coffey, Kate McCarthy, Emma Horan, Orianne McGillycuddy, Andrea Murphy, Aine Devlin, Ciara Randles, Ann Marie O Sullivan, Lauren Carey, Aoife Healy, Emily Brosnan, Evie Fahy, Lauren Horgan, Laura Healy.  Management.. O SULLIVAN CUP
The Senior B team travelled to Farranfore to face Firies in the opening round of the O Sullivan Cup. Conditions were harsh to say the least but the team.battled through them to come out victorious. Gavin Moriarty notched four points in the win which has set up a quarter final date with Glenflesk.

BON VOYAGE
The Club would like to wish senior player Rob Leen the very best as he heads down under for the immediate future. Rob has been a mainstay of the Clubs senior team for the last ten years and his influence will certainly be missed amongst his team mates.

U15 BOYS
Our U15B Team played Currow A in the Div 3 East Kerry Championship Semi Final in Derreen on Wednesday evening. The teams exchanged scores throughout the first half and the boys headed to the interval with a narrow lead 0-7 to 0-5 .The turning point of the game came ten minutes into the second half when the boys leading 0-9 to 0-6 conceded a penalty. An outstanding double save by Ethan Clarke from the penalty and the rebound kept the boys ahead and allowed them to kick on for the rest of the second half. In the end they won by 7 points by 0-13 to 0-6. Well done to the boys on a very good performance and thanks to Currow for a fine game throughout the 60 mins. The boys have now qualified for the Div 3 East Kerry Championship Final where they will face either Fossa A or Rathmore A.

U10 GIRLS
Our u10 Girls finished their year on a high  on Monday evening in the final East Kerry Go Game for 2024 . The 10 Km walk they took part in over the weekend did not seem to have tired them any bit as two well drilled teams headed to Barraduff Community Field to take on two excellent teams from Glenflesk. A great display of skill, spirit football and a good competitive nature from both teams lead to two great games of football for all . Thanks to Glenflesk for hosting us organising fields and referees also.

U12 GIRLS
A busy season for the girls finished with two games in a week against our neighbours Kilcummin and Dr Crokes. A lot of credit is due to the girls who kept the year ticking over, not to mention the coaches who coordinated their efforts. The best of luck to those moving up to U14 while those remaining will take the lead next year as the elder lemons.

U15 GIRLS
The U15 girls County Championship continued last Friday evening with a semi final fixture away to Fossa. The heavy rain of the previous few days left a wet sod underfoot but thankfully the evening remained dry for the game. The home side came out of the traps early and took an early lead. An early goal stretched the lead but the girls stayed in touch with a green flag of their own. Fossa were converting more of their possession into scores and had a comfortable margin at the break.  The girls responded well after the restart and battled to get back into the game. Both sides exchanged scores and Fossa defended their lead well. As the light faded, the home side pressed on and finished out the game stronger to deservedly take the victory on the night. . Well played to all the girls and yhanks to the referee for officiating and best of luck to Fossa in the final. This brings to a close to the season for our u14 and u16 squads. The girls can look back with pride in what was a great year for both groups. Thanks to all the parents for their support throughout the season and we look forward to seeing all the girls back in the green and white in 2025.

NUTRITION TALK
Many thanks to Senio player Podge O'Connor who spoke on Saturday evening to our juvenile players and their parents about the importance of nuitrition before and after exercise. This was a very informative session for everyone present . Podge has his own podcast at the moment also so make sure you check that out.
