INTERMEDIATE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
A rip roaring contest in Spa saw us lead all the way until the 60th minute but a late surge from Glenflesk, which yielded 1-1, swung the game in their favour at the eleventh hour. In what was a high quality affair we went to the dressing room at half time 0-11 to 0-9 to the good. A Peter McCarthy goal midway through the second half looked to have set us on the road to victory until that late Glenflesk renaissance. Even in the dying embers of the game we were on the front foot searching for an equaliser but the whistle blew time on our effort, leaving both players and management exasperated. Round two will see Gneeveguilla visit Direen on Saturday evening at 7pm, in what will be a must win game.
Final score Killarney Legion 1-16 Glenflesk 1-17.

MINOR COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP
The fixtures have been confirmed for the group stages of the Keanes SuperValu Minor County Championship. We entertain Kenmare Shamrocks in Direen on Monday August 5th while a week later we travel to St Kierans in the second round. A neutral venue fixture against Austin Stacks rounds up the group games. The top two in the group qualify for the quarter finals with third and fourth entering into the Shield competition. Plenty football ahead for our U17 Boys.
KERRY MINOR LADIES
No joy for Andrea Murphy and the Kerry minors as they suffered a two point defeat to Cavan in a cracking final played in Tullamore. They left everything out on the pitch and can be very proud of their efforts .
SPEEDY RECOVERY
Both Billy McGuire and William Shine have had their respective ACL reconstruction surgeries and the club wishes both of them well in their rehab after their first steps to recovery.
U15 BOYS
Our U15B Team narrowly lost out in the East Kerry Division 2 final on Wednesday evening in a very well contested local derby against Fossa A. The teams exchanged scores in the early stages and were level 1-2 to 0-5 after 15 mins. Unfortunately we lost a player to a red card at this stage leaving us down to fourteen players for the rest of the game. The boys battled well and at the interval trailed by a point 2-5 to 2-4. The pattern continued in the second half between two closely matched teams. The boys put in a massive effort down a player but in the end Fossa prevailed by three points for a deserved win. The boys have had a great East Kerry League campaign competing so strongly against good A Teams which is great for their development. We expect many of the players who played tonight to play a key role on our A teams in years to come.
SENIOR LADIES
The senior ladies continued their winning ways with a hard earned 2-6 to 0-6 win over Annauscaul / Castlegregory on Monday evening last. A goal in each half would prove to be the difference between the two sides. A final round engagement against John Mitchels this Monday July 29th in Tralee could see the team qualify for the final of the Corrib Oil County League.
UNDER 8/10 GIRLS
Our Under 8 and Under 10 girls visited Rathmore for a great entertaining evening of football during the week. Fielding two teams of under 10s and one team of under 8s they played some excellent football . The smiles on the girls' faces at the end of the matches were a good indication that they enjoyed it, too. Thanks to Rathmore for a great evening of football.
U16 GIRLS
Another fantastic win at home last Thursday evening in ideal conditions which ensured an open high scoring game, with the girls coming out victors after an intense battle.
Playing against a slight breeze in the first half but still leading by six at the break., the visitors came thundering into the game in the second half and after some intense defending we weathered the storm and kicked some vital scores to maintain our lead until the final whistle eventually came. Thanks to all our supporters, the referee and Rahillys for the game and we wish a speedy recovery to all injured players on the night.
Final score Killarney Legion 5-15 Kerins O Rahillys 2-12

KERRY SENIOR LADIES
The very best of luck to the Kerry Ladies as they look to capture the Brendan Martin this Sunday in Croke Park at 4.15 pm. Galway provide the opponent in what promises to be an entertaining encounter.
DEEPEST SYMPATHIES
The Club extends its sympathies to Stella Maloney , Brian and all the family on the sad passing of her mother Madeline, from Kiltimagh Co Mayo.
The Club also extends its sympathies to the family of Joan Corkery. Joan, alongside her late husband Tadgh and daughter Mary were very generous sponsorship of our Senior B team for many years under the banner of Corkerys Bar, High Street.
May they both rest in peace.
