SENIOR MEN
A disappointing result in Round 9 of the County League when our neighbours Dr Crokes held the upper hand all through. The result, 1-15 to 0-7, now means a win against An Ghaeltacht in Direen next Sunday at 2pm is imperative if we are to preserve our top flight status.
Team: Brian Kelly,  Darragh O Doherty, Danny Sheahan,  Peter O Sullivan,  Cian Gammell,  Jonathon Lyne, Rob Leen, Darragh Lyne (Capt) Jamie Alade,  Eoghan O Sullivan, Will Shine (0-1),  Finbarr Murphy (0-3),  Peter McCarthy,  David O Sullivan (0-2), Micheal Devlin.
Subs: Shaun Keane (0-1) for Finbarr Murphy, Ryan O Grady for Eoghan O Sullivan, Conor Gammell for Peter McCarthy, Mark Heffernan for Rob Leen.

KILLARNEY 7s
The Senior ladies competed in the well organised and very successful Killarney 7s over the weekend to great effect. Solid performances throughout the weekend saw them qualify for the Sunday morning quarter finals, where two wins set up a final against the hosts Spa. In a thrilling finale they were first out of blocks to hold out for the win. Well done to the entire squad, Ted Healy, John McCarthy , Orla Culloty et all for representing the club so well. Congratulations to Spa on a very well run event.

FEILE
The U15 Ladies are off to the regional Feile finals being held at Moyle Rovers GAA in Co Tipperary on Saturday, June 29th. There will be many fundraising initiatives to help fund the Feile adventure. We are asking all our members to donate their plastic bottles and cans to help raise funds. They can be dropped to designated points in the club grounds (only items displaying the Re-Turn symbol are accepted). The club will also host a bingo night on this Friday night, June 7th, in the Killarney Plaza Hotel . A fun night is planned and as with all club function we ask for the full support of the club. Rounding off a busy weekend there is a U10 girls blitz on Saturday  where a bake sale will be held. So whether its bingo or buns your support is needed.

U11 BOYS
Phase 2 of the County Go Games kicked off for our U11 boys on Thursday evening in Ballyrickard where Kerins O Rahilly provided the opposition.  Two good games of competitive football ensued, and some very impressive skills were on display by both teams . A big thank you to all parents who travelled and  to our hosts Kerins O Rahillys, who had their teams well drilled and provided a great challenge on the evening. Also, like ourselves, it is good to see the youths of the clubs taking up the whistle and reffing the games.

U13 BOYS
Well done to the U13 Boys who qualified for their respective County League final with a tremendous win over Rathmore in Rathbeg on Sunday morning. In glorious weather they started well and led 2-8 to 2-2 at half time. An onslaught from the hosts was weathered early in the second period and some smart point kicking saw the advantage extended to 2-15  to 2-5 by games end. They now face Finuge next weekend in the final, in what promises to be an interesting clash. Best of luck to team and management.

U14 BOYS
An excellent game of football  on Wednesday night in Keel with the hosts Keel / Listry  in Round 1 of the East Kerry League.
After an even first half we led at the break by 0-8 to 1-2. The scores continued to flow in the second half in an open game of football. In the end we emerged with a 4 point victory. Well done to all 19 boys who all contributed well in a strong performance. Thanks to Keel/ Listry who are a fine side for a great game and thanks to John O'Neill for excellent officiating. Next up Kilcummin in Round 2 at home next Wednesday.

U12 GIRLS
Our Legion u12 Girls White and Green teams took on our neighbours' Spa on Tuesday evening at home in Direen. It's good to see two games played in a good spirit with nice play and scores from both sides on a lovely summer evening, a far cry from the pitch and weather conditions of only a few weeks back. Thanks to both our TY refs who ably handled both matches. Also, thanks to all our supporters who give encouragement to our teams and to everyone who assisted this evening. The next games are away to Scartaglen on Tuesday evening.

U14 GIRLS
Away to Laune Rangers for the last fixture in County League Division 3, the U14 girls knew that they would be facing their toughest competitor yet. Short some regulars, a couple of our U12 girls were called up. On a sunny, hot Sunday afternoon, our panel gave it their all and left nothing on the pitch. Playing with the wind in the first half, the girls grew with confidence as the scores came freely. Leading at half by 2-9 to 1-5, it would take a renewed focus by the team for the second half. But the girls kept up a mighty effort going throughout , pushing forward while defending well and always tracking back to support each other.  Thank you to our strong U12s as well who managed a full pitch with ease. The future is bright with them on board! Final score 3-18 to 1-7.

CUMANN NA MBUNSCOIL

Congratulations to our Legion members on the team Leah Mannix, Eva Cox, Sophia Culloty, Elisa Mosca.
