The Club best and brightest in 2023 were honoured in the McShain Suite in the salubrious surroundings of the Killarney Plaza Hotel on Friday night last. Heading the list of Award winners was Donal O Donoghue , who received the Cooper Cup from Michelle Cooper Galvin. The Clubperson of the Year was a worthy recipient, the honour could be given to him any number of years. He spoke passionately and urged everyone to continue to work together to help the club going forwards.

 The Mothers and Others Group have brought a new lease of life to the club and they were rightly acknowledged on the night also. Eoghan O Sullivans form in 2023 saw him honoured as the Senior Player of the Year, receiving the John O Grady. Kate McCarthy was the winner of the female equivalent, with her leadership cited as a key factor in the decision. All rounder Aine Devlin was the Ladies Young Player of the Year, another earmarked for a bright future. Jamie Alade's eye-catching form , especially in the latter part of the year, saw him awarded the Jim Trant Memorial Trophy for Young Player of the Year.

The Senior B team management nominated Sean McCarthy as their main man in 2023, a well deserved honour for the affable Mill Road man. The Senior B Young Player of the Year stayed out that neck of the woods with Dan Carroll earning recognition for his consistent displays. 

Speaking on the night Club Chairman Dave Randles thanked the Social committee led by Brita Hegarty for their effort they put into organising what was a hugely enjoyable and successful night. He too urged the club membership to continue to put their shoulders to the wheel, with a special emphasis on the social side of the club.

Many thanks to the Killarney Plaza Hotel for their hospitality and Fear an Ti Brian Looney who kept the night flowing in his inimitable style. DJ Aidan Kiely provided all the entertainment after the nights formalities were concluded.
