EAST KERRY SUPERLEAGUE
The Senior Men qualified for the final of the East Kerry Superleague following a hard fought win over neighbours Dr Crokes in Lewis Road on Friday night. Early goals from Finbarr Murphy and Conor Keane highlighted a bright start but Dr Crokes brought themselves back into it with some well taken points to leave the half time score 2-2 to 0-6. That thread continued in the third quarter with the Crokes now 2-2 to 0-10 ahead. But an Eoghan O Sullivan goal put their noses in front again and further points from Will Shine and David O'Sullivan sealed a 3-7 to 0-11 win. The final against Glenflesk takes place this weekend.

PADRAIG LUCEY
We would like to wish Padraig Lucey the very best as he plays his club football in Cork this year. Now living and working in the Rebel County he has joined Douglas. Since making his senior debut in 2010 he has been an ever present in the team, save for a period when he played for the Geelong Cats in the Aussie Rules, and has always been a committed and positive influence in the squad. And of course the door is always open in Direen for the towering Tralee Road man, who has been an outstanding performer in recent years.

CLUB GYM
A big hats off to everyone who has helped revamp our Club gym. It has undergone a great transformation in recent weeks with new equipment, a new layout and a visual makeover. Thank you to every member who helped with the painting and installing of the gym. A special thanks to Jamie O'Sullivan who you could say was the conductor of the orchestra, but everyone definitely played a solid note.
