EAST KERRY SUPERLEAGUE
The Senior Men travelled to Rathbeg last Friday night and came away with another win in the East Kerry Superleague. Shaun Keane, stationed at full forward struck for an early goal before Rathmore dominated the next fifteen minutes, hitting 1-4 without reply. Will Shine snapped that dominance with a point, soon followed by further minors from Sam Benson, Eoghan O'Sullivan and Shaun Keane, leaving the hosts 1-5 to 1-4 ahead at half time. With the wind to the backs Finbarr Murphy and Ryan O'Grady turned the game around at 1-8 to 1-6 before Rathmore struck for another goal. But Will Shine, Danny Sheahan, Ryan O'Grady and Finbarr Murphy all kept the scoreboard ticking to help run out 1-13 to 2-8 winners.

CLUB GYM
With 2024 to look forward to both on and off the field, as well as the new season only around the corner for all our teams we wish to bring some changes to the attention of our membership for the year ahead in regards to the Club Gym. We are pleased to announce that there will be a fresh investment in the Gym facilities over the coming weeks which will make the Killarney Legion GAA Club Gym one of the best Gyms in the country. With this will come a change to membership pricing, options, access and availability. Up until now the gym membership was purchased alongside the club membership for the year as one sum of €200. This will no longer be the case for a number of reasons outlined below:
A standalone set price for the gym @€120( 50 Euro for Youth Membership) for the year
Gym membership purchasable year round (Which was not possible before)
Gym membership running 12 months from date of purchase.
Access for all club members not just players.
Regulation of clubhouse & gym membership through the use of fob system.
Simply put each member will be getting a far better product for €10 per month. Of course, each member will have to abide by gym rules (see below) as well as complete a health declaration form and waiver agreement. (See below).
Our aim with this project is to improve the club both on the field and off whilst also making the clubhouse itself a more sociable and enticing outlet for all our members.
Once completed and there is proof of club and gym membership being paid a fob will be supplied to you by gym management to give you access to the clubhouse and gym.
All aforementioned paperwork will need to be signed and agreed upon to begin using the gym. Those aged u15-u18 will need a parents signature and must abide all rules and regulations laid out in the gym rules and declaration forms. As a club we a striving to ensure that the Killarney Legion Club caters and performs in all facets to allow our members young and old to enjoy both on and off field life as a member of the Killarney Legion. We wholeheartedly believe that through club gym and future developments will help us in doing so. We appreciate all our members for their support now and into the future.
