U17 BOYSOur minor boys fell to a narrow two point defeat in the East Kerry Minor Division 2  final played before a  large crowd who were treated to an exciting game with attacking football to the fore.  The opening quarter was evenly matched with the sides sharing ten points. Glenflesk then struck for two quick goals. However we responded with a goal of their own and five points separated the sides at half time , 2-9 to 1-7
We started the second half brightly under the Direen lights and  threatened a goal. A fine save from the Glenflesk goalkeeper foiled us and in the blink of an eye , much like the first half Glenfesk struck for two quick goals to take control and a ten point lead with fifteen minutes to play. We didn’t panic and actually dominated the remainder of the game and reduced the lead to two points as the game entered injury time. Laying siege to the Glenflesk goal , we could not find the goal we needed. Thanks to Mike Brosnan for refereeing , Eamon Maguire for having the pitch in fantastic condition , Amy Walshe for operating the scoreboard and congratulations to Glenflesk on their win.

St BRENDANS COLLEGE
Congratulations to the Sem U15 squad who had a tremendous comeback win in the Munster PPS final today in Fitzgerald stadium to lift the Taft Cup. Trailing by 6 points at halftime, they took the game to the Green in the second half and could have won in normal time. Trailing again at the turnaround in extra time by two points, the Sem got a third goal and a point to take a lead, which they held to the final whistle.
Final score...Tralee CBS 1-13 St. Brendans 3-9
James Murphy made two key first-half saves to keep the Sem in the game. Ronan OBrien was dominant at full back, making some big turnovers. Mark Looney, Samuel Scroope, and Jack Culloty all chipped in with big scores and fine play. Liam Quirke and Jack OGrady didn't feature in the game today but made contributions in the previous rounds while Paul Moriarty was a selector with the team.
