SATURDAY MORNING ACADEMY
Last Saturday was the last day of the Killarney Legion Academy and thankfully all the heavy rains and winds of the week had subsided and everyone enjoyed a lovely autumnal morning. The traditional graduation ceremony for our Under 10 players went ahead for the girls, but the boys were busy on tournament duty in Lewis Road so they will receive their graduation certificates in due course! A big thank you to all the boys and girls and thanks to all the parents for bringing the kids along each year. And a big thanks to all the Academy coaches who have helped out every Saturday all year. And as always we urge all our members to keep an eye and ear open for any prospective youngsters living in the Killarney area who may be interested in joining our club. It's been well documented in recent years that there will be a downturn in playing numbers in the urban Killarney area in the future so everyone is asked to be on their game when it comes to recruiting new members.

U11 BOYS
It was a great end to the U11 football season yesterday playing in the Dr Crokes Blitz in perfect weather on Lewis Road . Dr.Crokes , Fossa, and Ballyvourney provided the opposition in what was a very well organised fun day out with great football being played . Our captains of the 2 teams for the tournament, Thomas Clarke and Sean Sharma, led from the front delivering motivational speeches and followed it up with some excellent football. Thanks to all the participating teams, especially the hosts Dr Crokes who provided good weather , good pitches , and a great day out for our boys.

UNDER 15 BOYS
Our young U15 boys team never got going in Sundays East Kerry Division 1 final in Farranfore. To be fair though Firies played superbly and eventhough the team know that they are capable of better , they will hopefully learn from this experience. The team had a positive year reaching County Leagie Division 2 Final as well so its imperative that they and the club look to progress in the years ahead. Full time Killarney Legion 0-4 Firies 2-18.

U17 EAST KERRY LADIES TEAM
Well done to our Legion quartet of Evie Fahy, Andrea Murphy, Eabha Stack & Lauren Carey who were all part of the victorious East Kerry U17 team who defeated St Kierans in the District County Championship final played in Fitzgerald Stadium on Sunday on a final score of 5-09 to 2-12. Jason Stack was also a member of the winning management team.
